Waiting for the Lights (Weekend Reflections # 283)

Venice, Italy

I was lamenting the lack of light as I took this shot. Then I noticed the unlit candles and lanterns in the window. Irony? It wasn't the best time of day to take a picture but at least I was able to capture this little slice of Venice.

Happy reflecting!

Oh, that European "gray" - good for ambiance, not so great for photos. This little slice of irony is beautiful!

Aaaah, Venezia—beautiful even when it's gloomy, right? And I appreciate the irony. :~}

Yes, the candlesticks and the pottery capture the spirit!

It is hard to tell where the reflection begins and ends ... love the scene. The candles and lanterns, though they aren't lending light at the moment, do enlighten the scene ... Love Venice, lucky you :)

I like its subtlety. I spent a long time trying to figure out the conditions under which this photo was taken.

Oooh, I recognize the place where you took the shot, we lived just round the corner in a nice hotel.
AT our visit there wasn't much light too.
